Services:

The services we offer students are growing. If you would like us to consider others, please let us know. 

• Textbook rentals: you can now rent your books and return them at the end of the term with savings of 55% per book. If a new book is $100, to rent it will be $45. You can rent every book over $50 (exceptions apply such as certain science titles, ebooks or custom course)
• Online ordering - Want to buy something from us, but you cannot make it to the Bookstore? We will deliver free across campus (except Residence Halls). Just choose the option at checkout

• UPass: you now pick up your monthly UPass at the Bookstore from the 16th of every month. This new monthly process has been implemented by TransLink to manage the cards more effectively. Contact information and FAQs about the new UPass program

• Buyback: we buy back your course materials throughout the year helping you to save money. Buyback is closed now until March 1, 2012.
• UBCcarding office. The UBCcard is the university's official student identification card that facilitates an array of services on campus (Vancouver only). Watch this video to find the UBCcarding office
• IT Help Services is located in Tech Central in the Bookstore to answer and help with all your queries including: CWL log-in, free anti-virus software, wireless connectivity, UBC student email and more. We also have a FREE charging station for all your devices including phones, iPods and laptops
• Coffee bar (Vancouver only)
• Events: including Rez night, discount book sale, Facebook sales and in-store clinics (yoga, make-up etc). Want a particular type of event or do you want to host one in-store or in the plaza? (Vancouver only). Send us your event ideas
• Donations: we provide donations in the form of sponsorship and gift cards/giveaways to many campus groups and organizations. Please contact us if you'd like us to consider your request
• Used book classifieds.

Products:

• Computers and software at student pricing, accessories and great phone plans (Vancouver and the Okanagan)
• Clothing and giftware, including Thunderbird and HEAT sportswear. We also sell specific faculty wear, such as Sauder School of Business, as well as custom-imprinted clothing
• Stationery
• Rez and homeware supplies The complete Bed Bath & Beyond store will return this September to our store - in the meantime, we have some of the most popular basics including towels and hangers in-store
• General books. This includes a wide selection of medical books through our partnership with Login
• Instruments - musical and medical (Vancouver and the Okanagan)
• Snacks including drinks, lunch items, ice-creams and chips, as well as Fair Trade food
• Stamps.

We listen to and work closely with students in a number of ways:

• Student ambassadors. Spread key messages for the Bookstore for two to three hours a month in return for business skills, job references and staff discounts. Join our growing team of 30+ and meet new students at UBC. Contact us if you are interested and we will send you more information.
